Communion To The Sick At Home
“Is there anyone sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.” (James 5:14)
St. Bernard’s Parish is blessed to have over two dozen volunteers trained to bring Communion to the Sick at home. This is the “Hands of Care” ministry started many years ago. The Hands of Care volunteers have been trained to show compassion to the sick as well as proper reverence to the Blessed Sacrament and how it is to be shared outside of Mass. All of our reactivated Hands of Care Ministers are fully vaccinated.
Anyone wishing to have Communion brought to an infirm family member needs to first contact the parish office. Deacon Kevin will then arrange a visit. Please call the parish offices at 708-301-3020 to schedule a visit.
